2024 and still very helpfull. The only difference is that in actual OMV you have to install MD (multiple drives) plugin 1 and then follow ron instructions.
Thanks for the message. When I create a video, I always hope that it will last for a while. Are you running OMV on RPi or another platform. Sounds like I need to look at doing a video on the newer version.
My iphone tethering keeps on disconnecting to the point where it is unusable. I have updated to the latest firmware and the only way it will connect again is when I unplug the power cable and reconnect. Then after a few mins, it will disconnect again. Looks like this thing is going back to the store.
Sorry to hear that. In case it hasnt already gone back, do you have a longer cable to put a little more distance between the iphone and ar750 ? If cable not available how about something metal between the two devices ? Thinking about putting something to block the two devices from directly seeing each other. Just a thought.

Hello , Thanks for your video, I am following your video, after install telnetd "sudo apt-get install telnetd" I am having this error: "sudo: /etc/init.d/openbsd-inetd: command not found" My objective is trying to connect via telnet to my raspberry Pi 4B to use ser2net and connect to my cisco switch via telnet thru USB serial port (Console Port) .
I had the same problem (running piOS bullseye on an RPI2) try sudo service /etc/inetutils-inetd restart that worked for me
anyone hear of another app that works with Android Auto? I have Broadcastify Pro which i freakin paid for so I want to use it...however the app doesnt show up on Android Auto. :(

The companion player is set(lg tv), server is set (Qnap)but says its playing content but nothing comes on screen. I have a qnap nas with plex server, Lg oled tv with plex app,nvidia shield with plex app(alexa not recognisig this). Plex running on lg tv and works fine without alexa. What am i doing wrong? After watching this video I had an idea and it worked, i was pasting the id number from the applet tile "id xxxxxxxxx" thinking that was what was needed and when i saw my unique number on the page where he pasted in the event name to test it, it dawned on my what i had done. I put the number at the end of the long string as the maker key in the streamdeck plugin and the event name of the webhook applet and the event worked first time.
Im following along and when i go to create the rade as a file system in omv my device options are greyed out even though i have my ssd with boot and 2 ssd in raid 1and raid made, and idea?

I'm an experienced computer user and I operate my own server at home. But I absolutely hate doing anything on the command line if I don't have to especially configuring RAID or LVM because there's no way I'm ever going to remember all the commands and options without reading a bunch of stuff online first. I seen some other dude do this by just rsync-ing one drive to the other. Even on my HPE microserver I absolutely hate using raid and wouldn't recommend it to anyone in 2023. You can literally do the same thing with ZFS but instead of waiting 36 hours to use your server It's literally ready in seconds. And it doesn't suffer a write hole if you lose power because it's copy on write. But I guess as long as you don't mind waiting this insanely long time and you do regular backups then I guess this is fine.
If this could have been done via GUI, I would have been happy to show that. The underlying problem is that OMV at the time (and may still have this limitation), wouldnt see USB drives in the gui but would in cli. I went with USB drives as a proof of concept to see if I wanted to do this with a more conventional drive deployment.
